Rules for night skating
Yes there are some rules. But it's easy to follow them, so please try to obey
them.
Keep in mind: It should be fun. And not only for you.
What to do:
- Only skate on the street. Don't use the sidewalk or the tram route.
- Keep a small space on the left and right side free so that the police and
the ordner can pass.
- Warn others if there are problems. (e.g. a skater that has fallen down, a
drain, a hole, rails, ...) Shouting "Gully!" or "Hole!" is easy and
should help others to reduce the speed or to take the appropriate action
to avoid trouble. If you hear someone in front of you shouting something
like this then you should repeat it so that the skater behind you can
hear it, too.
What to do not:
- Phone with your handy.
- Listen to music with headphones so you can't hear when someone warns you
or rings a bell because he want to pass.
Some safety tips:
- Use some lights to make yourself more visible.
- Use protector for hands, arms, knees and head. (Yes, I usually don't
wear them. (Only inside the halfpipe.) But I think it should be listed
here.)
